2. To have free will is to be able to cause things to happen in the world without at the same time being caused to make those things happen.

Determinism

10. People's biological makeup determines their talents and personality.

11. Childhood environment will determine your success as an adult.

Randomness and Unpredictability

12. Chance events seem to be the major cause of human history.

13. No one can predict what will happen in this world.

14. Life seems unpredictable - just like throwing dice or flipping a coin.

15. People are unpredictable.

16. Life is hard to predict because it is almost totally random.

17. Luck plays a big role in people's lives.
